We invite close friends and Serenitea members for a unique opportunity to join a tea ceremony in nature, using fresh spring water, followed by an ancient Estonian Sauna cleansing ritual.

Sauna Ritual In Mooska Sauna

Mooska Sauna is one of the most well-regarded Sauna spots in the country, and perhaps - the world.

Having visited the ritual once, we felt that we definitely needed to return.

Smoke Sauna has always been a soul-sustaining tradition for the local people. The smoke sauna brings closure. We invite you to the guided smoke sauna session at Mooska Farm to cleanse your body and soul and to open your senses to new beginnings, joy, peace, and abundance. During the sauna session, you will get a glimpse of the rich customs and beliefs associated with the smoke sauna.

The ancient smoke sauna tradition of Võru County is listed in UNESCO's Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. The ritual lasts 3 hours.

Tea Ceremony In The Nature

"In the practice of tea, the act of drawing water from the spring and boiling it for tea brings us into a closer communion with nature." - Murata Jukō

It is said that even the taste of tea itself changes when you consume it in nature.

We will bring the best selection of fresh tea with us and create a tea ceremony focused on cleansing your body and soul.

During the ceremony, we will also explore the connection of tea to meditation

Departure To The Retreat

Depending on your starting location, it will take 2-3 hours to get to Võru.

This is a short, one-day retreat. We will begin in Võru, but if there are people coming from Tallinn, lets try to share a ride, so as to minimize the amount of cars needed. You can either return back to Tallinn in the evening, or spend a night in South Estonia

Lunch & Gathering

We will gather at a nice homey restaurant in Võru - "Kohvik Mantelahi" have a quick lunch, and head out to the Tea Ceremony location.

Tea Ceremony

We will drive and walk together to the location for our tea ceremony. We will bring pillows, but if you want, bring your own chairs/pillows. The ceremony will last about 2-3 hours.

Nature Meditation

We will host a meditation session upon the "mountain", and get ready for the Sauna.

The Road Home

After a brief cooling-down period, we will start on our way back to Tallinn. Perhaps it will make sense for some of us to stay in Southern Estonia and continue the trip back to Tallinn on Saturday, or spend the weekend in Tartu.
